the antique show was a success, of course we forgot a camera, but took some cell phone photos of our favorite finds that we didn't buy, like a $300 fox puppet from 1920. most of the industrial items we liked were huge cabinets and desks that weighed hundreds of pounds, and were therefore off our shopping list. but we did leave with many great items that will be listed throughout the next few weeks! sneak peeks should come tomorrow.

road tripping

we're taking Friday off to travel to a huge antique show. hoping to spot some unique finds under a sunshiney autumn sky. what's on the list, you may wonder??? old wooden crates, old wood boxes, metal crates, repurpose-able industrial items, and anything unique with an autumn theme. stay tuned!...

autumn is here!

i love autumn! and one of the best parts of autumn are pumpkins. i love to have pumpkins everywhere. i love their shape. i love their texture. i love their color. they're the best. i came across these handmade velvet pumpkins that have real stems - they're gorgeous! you can find them here.

a dear deer finds a new home

i love this bronze deer, it was tough to part with him. but it's all worthwhile when i see him looking so great in his new Chicago home. thanks again Ariane for sharing the photos! i'm glad he found the perfect new place, and that you love him, too!

apple green crate = love

love love love this old green wire milk crate. it really is the coolest thing. when i saw it, i knew a cat would soon be napping in it - and i was right. it's now one of chloe jane's favorite afternoon snooze spots. i bought this lovely antique crate here, fabulous service, too!
